The tightly woven crisscross pattern of our percale weaving method results in fine linens that are consistently strong and leave little room for wear and tear. This high quality product is easy to maintain and care for. Cotton percale offers a crisp matte finish that is cool to the touch.

Luxe Home Company duvet covers and sheets are woven using the finest 100% Egyptian cotton. The collections feature crisp percales and sateen’s. Our matelassé’s and linens, as with most of products made with natural fibers, have a tendency to shrink. The products have been made a little larger than the published sizes. Wash items prior to use for proper fit.

Machine wash in a front-loading machine using warm water and color and fragrance free detergent. Use enzyme reactive stain removers only. Do not use chlorine bleach or detergents with lighteners. Never pour detergent or soap directly onto your textiles. Either pour detergent in when the tub is full or dilute the detergent. Do not use fabric softeners. These only coat the fibers and make them “appear” to be soft. One cup of white vinegar in the rinse water removes all traces of soap and leaves fabrics smelling fresh. The ideal way to dry linens is to air dry. A clothesline or rod is perfect for air-drying, but you can use a railing or shower rod as well. If you must use a dryer, tumble dry on low for only a few minutes and do not dry completely. During the last few minutes of a dryer cycle the fabric overheats and dries out, making it brittle and lifeless over time. Always remove linens from the dryer while still damp, and then iron. For best results, use a spray bottle with water as opposed to the iron’s steam feature. Due to the chemical process, dry cleaning and bleaching are not recommended for fine linens.

Frequently fluff your down comforter and pillows by giving it a few daily shakes. The steady flow of air will bring back its natural loft.

Frequent or improper washing of down can lead to excessive wear and tear and shorten its longevity and optimum performance. A properly cared for down product will only need washing every five years or so or only when soiled. We strongly recommend that our products are cleaned by a professional launderer that is experienced with handling down. It is possible to wash down products at home, but residential machines are often too small and have an agitator, which may harm your bedding. We do not recommend it, but if washed at home, use a front-loading commercial style washer with non-bleach detergent on a gentle cycle. It is important to dry on low heat in a large machine until the product is completely dry; any lumps or smell of fill indicates dampness. Add a couple of clean tennis balls so that the fill moves as it dries.

Down does not like humidity. To avoid mildew and mold, we recommend a dry well-ventilated storage space. Do not compress down during storage; give your comforter and pillows enough space to air and breathe.
