This collection's unusual leg detailing is a product of design and function. Interlaced braces span the chair creating a striking "X" pattern. Handsome details include cast finials on the arms and cast bun design on the legs. The woven material is made from the highest quality polyethylene resin making it virtually impervious to harsh weather and environmentally friendly. The resin is color impregnated, making the color consistent throughout the product. It is fade resistant and will not crack, peel, or absorb stains or heat. The workmanship that goes into cast aluminum furniture is an extraordinary process. Cast aluminum begins in a foundry as molten metal that is then cast to create individual components ( i.e. seats, backs, arms, legs). These are then hand filed and ground to a smooth surface. Craftsmen then weld all the component parts together and again grind and polish them to perfection. Extruded aluminum is formed by forcing aluminum stock through dies. The result is a seamless extruson that can come in a variety of shapes, all stronger than the material's original form.
